Sound Inpatient Physicans
Sound Inpatient Physicians (f/k/a Excelsis Healthcare, Inc.) is a leading hospitalist company currently providing inpatient physician services in hospitals throughout the United States. Hospital (inpatient) medicine is comprised of the overall management of a patient's care while in hospital and sub-acute settings. Sound has developed and operates a unique hospitalist model that focuses on investing in, training and supporting its hospitalist physicians. This model allows Sound to deliver sophisticated, efficient and cost effective services to hospitals and payors while improving the quality and continuity of patient care.
In conjunction with Excelsis management, Fund II initially formed Excelsis Healthcare, Inc. with the goal of building the national leader in the practice of inpatient medicine. Following Excelsis' February 2007 merger with Sound Inpatient Physicians, a leading provider of inpatient care in the Western U.S., the combined entity now operates under the Sound Inpatient Physicians name.
