Michael Rahamim

Michael Rahamim is Chair of J.Jill, a TowerBrook portfolio company. Previously, he served as a Non-Executive Director of Kaporal, and Executive Chair of Phase Eight, former TowerBrook portfolio companies.

Mr. Rahamim has over 30 years’ experience in the fashion retail industry. He entered the industry in 1992 by developing the UK franchise of Kookai S.A., a French high fashion business. In 1997 he invested in the Kookai S.A. parent company and helped turn its fortune around. This business was sold in 2001. Since then, he has invested in a number of European fashion and retail businesses including Whistles, a high fashion ladies brand. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Rahamim worked in soft commodities and financial futures and was one of the first seat holders on the LIFFE exchange. He developed a niche coffee trading business in Italy and Switzerland which he sold in 1991 but retains a close relationship with several large European roasters.
