Case study Van Geloven

Van Geloven

During the time of TowerBrook Fund IV’s investment, Van Geloven was a producer of frozen foods that operated in the foodservice and retail channels across the Benelux region. Founded in 1960, the company had grown via acquisition and category expansion to become a major player in the Benelux frozen snack sector. The company supplied a broad range of branded, frozen, convenience snacks and foods, ranging from traditional Benelux products such as kroket and bitterballen to globally inspired snacks such as satay skewers and spring rolls. TowerBrook exited its investment in Van Geloven in 2016 via a majority sale of the company to McCain.
