InfoPro Communications was formed to pursue a buy and build strategy of publishing and media companies. InfoPro was formed by Fund I in conjunction with Christophe Czajka, former CEO of the Business-to-Business Group of Bertelsmann AG where he also served on the Board of Directors.

InfoPro seeks to consolidate mid-size, privately owned businesses in key fragmented verticals, including automotive and general industry. InfoPro’s initial acquisition, ETAI S.A.S provides products and services for industry professionals and consumers in the French automotive sector. Since its inception, InfoPro has acquired nine businesses, all of which have been integrated into two divisions focused on the automotive and general industry sectors.

InfoPro was acquired by Apax Partners SA in July 2007.
