David J. Barger

David Barger has over 30 years’ experience at senior level in the aviation industry. He is a member of the Board of Directors of CarTrawler and Aernnova Aerospace Corporation, SA, a TowerBrook portfolio company.

Mr. Barger co-founded JetBlue Airways Corporation in 1998 and served as its CEO from May 2007 to February 2015.  He served as President and COO from 1998 to 2007 and again served as President from 2009 to 2014.  He was a member of the Board of Directors from 2001 to 2015.  Prior to his time at JetBlue, from 1992 to 1998, Mr. Barger served in various management positions with Continental Airlines, including Vice President of the Newark hub having joined the firm in 1988.  Previously, he spent six years in various positions with New York Air, including Director of Stations.  Since 2014, Mr. Barger has served as a non-executive Director of AIM Altitude, a former TowerBrook portfolio company.  He is an Operating Partner at Connor Capital SB and has been a Director of gategroup Holding AG since April 2015.  Mr. Barger serves as a Director at The Partnership for New York City, Inc. and as a Member of the Board of Governors at International Air Transport Association (IATA).
