Investments in products and services that seek to make consumers’ lives healthier, happier and easier. This involves investments across the value chain targeting healthy living (e.g. healthy food, fitness), convenience (e.g. distribution, frozen and prepared meals) and lifestyle (e.g. hotels, beauty, aspirational brands). These investment focus areas are characterized by multi-decade secular tailwinds, recurring demand trends and companies with a dynamic channel presence and proven ‘right-to-win’ (i.e. market share).

  • AA
    The AA is the largest roadside assistance provider by market share in the UK, servicing a large portion of the consumer and manufacturer segments, as well as the UK’s largest fleet and leasing companies. With more than 115 years of operating history, the AA is one of the most widely recognised and trusted brands in the UK and and has effectively built upon this brand to become an established provider of insurance broking, insurance underwriting and driving services.
  • AQUAchiara
    AQUAchiara is a European provider of micro-filtered water dispenser solutions for hotels, restaurants, and corporate clients. Its mission is to refine locally sourced tap water into fresh, sparkling, high-quality water through advanced microfiltration technology. Committed to environmental sustainability, AQUAchiara aims to offer an eco-friendly alternative, reducing reliance on bottled water and avoiding considerable CO2 emissions from production and transportation.
  • Auto Europe
    During the period of TowerBrook Fund I’s investment, Auto Europe was a global distributor of leisure car rental services. The company operated three primary business units: Auto Europe (North America), brokering car rentals for outbound North American travellers to Europe; Auto Europe (Europe), brokering car rentals for intra-Europe travelers; and DriveAway Holidays, brokering car rentals for outbound Australian travellers to Europe.
  • Azzurri Group
    Azzurri Group is a multi-cuisine hospitality platform operating Zizzi and ASK Italian (two national Italian full service brands), Coco di Mama (a quick-service Italian food-to-go concept), Boojum (fast-casual Mexican chain) and recently the fried chicken QSR brand Dave’s Hot Chicken. Azzurri also owns Openr, an innovative tech start-up providing a product, pricing and order management technology platform.
  • BevMo!
    During the period of TowerBrook Fund II’s investment, BevMo! was a large, specialty retailer of alcoholic drinks and related items in the U.S. The company had over 150 stores located throughout California, Arizona and Washington. The typical 10,000-square-foot store carried a large assortment of products including over 3,800 wines, 2,400 spirits and 2,400 beers together with a wide variety of complementary products ranging from cocktail napkins and snack items to glassware and bar accessories.
  • Demakes Enterprises
    Founded in 1914 in Lynn, Massachusetts, Demakes Enterprises is a fourth-generation family-owned business that develops and manufactures deli, specialty, and other value-added protein products across three brands and private label. The Company’s product portfolio is differentiated through continuous innovation, and its products are oriented toward consumers’ growing demand for “better-for you” options (e.g., organic, antibiotic-free) and convenience (e.g., ready-to-eat, ready-to-cook, marinated meats).
  • IDAK
    IDAK is a producer of premium frozen savoury and sweet snacking foods, active in the foodservice and retail channels, selling both branded and private label products. The Company is headquartered in Switzerland, with operations in both Switzerland and Italy, selling across Europe and North America.
  • Ignite Fitness
    Ignite Fitness Holdings is one of the largest Planet Fitness franchises in North America, operating over 120 gyms in the U.S. and Canada serving more than 670,000 members. With c. 18.1 million members and 2,440+ stores worldwide Planet Fitness’s mission is to enhance people’s lives by providing a high-quality fitness experience in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.
  • IZIPIZI
    IZIPIZI is a global eyewear brand, offering a large range of fashionable glasses, combining style and quality at attractive prices. The brand has a broad wholesale network, as well as its own direct to consumer online and retail distribution channels.
