Ulric Jerome

Ulric Jerome is a digital/tech entrepreneur, investor and CEO with 23 years of experience. He has led the transformation and subsequent sale of two successful online retailers: MATCHESFASHION.COM and PIXmania.COM. Mr. Jerome's key areas of expertise include direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, retail brands with digital/e-commerce at their core, and the transformation of companies to become global, digital ‘first’ in their market segment.

From 2013 to 2019, Mr. Jerome was CEO of MATCHESFASHION.COM which under his leadership was transformed from a local, London-based bricks-and-mortar company to a leading, global, luxury fashion digital player. During his tenure, sales grew from €55 million to €500 million with 95% of revenues generated via online and mobile sales, and 85% generated via international sales. Mr. Jerome led the sale of the company for a reported $1 billion in 2017. From 2020 to 2022, Mr. Jerome was a member of the board of BYREDO AB, a global luxury beauty brand. During his Board tenure Mr Jerome worked on the successful sale of BYREDO to PUIG which was completed in June 2022 after which he exited the Board. From 2016 to 2021, he served on the Supervisory Board of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange-listed Zooplus AG, a leading European online retailer of pet supplies with €2 billion of sales. Mr. Jerome served on the board of LSE-listed Paddy Power plc from 2012 to 2016. During this time, he was also a member of the Nomination and Audit Committees for the business. During his time as a member of the board of Paddy Power plc, Mr. Jerome worked on the merger with Betfair plc which led to the creation of one of the world’s biggest online betting companies with a valuation of £24 billion. The combined entity is now listed under Flutter Entertainment plc (PDYPF). From 2002 to 2012, Mr. Jerome was a founding partner of PIXmania.COM, a €1 billion revenue pan-European online retailer covering more than 30 product categories and operating in 26 European countries. The business was subsequently sold to Dixons Retail plc in 2006. Mr. Jerome is also an investor in DTC brands, SaaS and BioTech/medical companies.
