Patrick Verschelde

Patrick Verschelde is Chair of AustroCel Hallein and Chair of Uperio Group, both TowerBrook portfolio companies.

Previously, Mr. Verschelde was President and CEO of Metallo Group Holding, a former TowerBrook portfolio company, having previously been Chair of Metallum Holding SA from 2010. Under his leadership, revenues at Metallo grew to €1bn and the number of employees to over 500. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Verschelde served as a Senior Advisor to CVC Capital Partners. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Verschelde served as an Industrial Partner at CVC Capital Partners, Executive Chair of CPI and Director of Fraikin and Taminco. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Verschelde was Chair and CEO of Adisseo, a former division of Aventis Animal Nutrition Worldwide, one of the leaders in animal nutrition with five factories across Europe and the UK. In 2000, Mr. Verschelde joined Lyonnaise des Eaux Worldwide as CEO with the objective of establishing the water division of Suez; he subsequently moved into the role of COO of Suez Water Division where revenues grew to €10bn with a staff of 60,000 employees. Mr. Verschelde began his career at Air Liquide America where he worked for over 20 years, starting in the role of Application Engineer and through promotion every 2.5 years, rising to the rank of Chair and COO of Air Liquide Canada and ultimately Chair and CEO of Air Liquide Americas. Mr. Verschelde has held a number of directorships of industry bodies throughout his career including Chair of the Canadian Hydrogen Council, Director of the American Manufacturing Association and Chair of the Compressed Gas Association (North America).
