Marwan Lahoud

Senior Advisory Board member

Marwan Lahoud is a highly experienced executive in the aerospace industry. He is a member of the board of Aernnova and Sabena technics, both TowerBrook portfolio companies.

Mr. Lahoud is Executive Chair and Managing Director of Ace Capital Partners, a subsidiary of Tikehau Capital.  He is also Chair of AML SAS.  Mr. Lahoud is the former Chair of the Supervisory Board of Idemia, one of the leading players in the identification and authentication sector and the result of the merger of Oberthur Technologies and Safran Identity and Security (Morpho) in March 2017.  From 2007 to 2017 Mr. Lahoud served as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Airbus and was a member of the Group Executive Committee. Mr. Lahoud led the strategic and international development of Airbus to position it as a global enterprise: during his tenure, the order book of the business grew from €265bn to more than €1,000bn. Previously, Mr. Lahoud served as CEO of MBDA, the global missile systems company jointly owned by Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo. Having begun his career at the French Ministry of Defense in 1989, Mr. Lahoud was appointed Special Advisor to the Ministry in 1995. In May 1998, he joined Aerospatiale as Vice President, Development, subsequently becoming Senior Vice President, Strategy and Planning and Senior Vice President, Military Affairs for Aerospatiale Matra. Following the creation of EADS in 2000, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions and oversaw the creation of Airbus, MBDA, Astrium and EDSN. Mr. Lahoud is a former member of the Supervisory Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of BPCE. He serves on the Board of the Ecole Polytechnique, of which he is an alumnus, and is Chair of IHES, a French institute for advanced research in mathematics and theoretical physics. He has been awarded the rank of Officer of the French Légion d’Honneur and that of Chief Weapons Engineer of the French Army.
