Laurence Paganini

Management Advisory Board member, Senior Advisor

Laurence Paganini is a seasoned retail executive with over 25 years’ experience in the sector. She is the former CEO of Kaporal, a former TowerBrook portfolio company.

In 2013, Ms. Paganini became CEO of TowerBrook’s portfolio company Kaporal, a French denim and fashion brand based in Marseille. Over the next 10 years, she worked to transform the business into an innovative and differentiated company in its field. Following TowerBrook’s exit from Kaporal in July 2023, Ms. Paganini joined TowerBrook as a member of the Management Advisory Board and joined JJA, a TowerBrook portfolio company, as Board Member. Prior to joining Kaporal, Ms. Paganini spent six years as CEO: at first for the beauty retailer Marionnaud and then for 3 Suisses, where she spearheaded corporate transformations and implemented digitally savvy responses to changing consumer habits. From 1997 to 2006, she held several senior executive roles at Carrefour, where she managed the Bercy hypermarket, ran the “home world” purchasing department, then, successively, the jewelery-watchmaking business line along with the group’s marketing. Ms. Paganini has also served until the end of September 2023, as President of Procos, one of the main specialized trade federations in France. Ms. Paganini currently serves as an independent Board Member and Chair of the Compensation Committee of the listed Thermador Groupe SA (THEP). She was awarded the “Executive of the Year 2019” trophy from women in the economy. She has also received the distinguished awards of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite. Ms. Paganini is a graduate of ESSEC Business School and holds a master’s degree in finance from Paris-Dauphine University.
