Eric Jon Larsen is a leading national expert on healthcare strategy and transformation. He is President of TowerBrook Advisors.

Mr. Larsen is President, Emeritus at The Advisory Board Company where he served for 25 years, the final five years as President. The healthcare research firm is dedicated to improving the performance of healthcare organizations around the world, having served more than 4,500 such organizations by developing proprietary research and advisory services. During his time at The Advisory Board, Mr. Larsen dedicated himself to identifying and promulgating best practices to fundamentally improve healthcare quality and lower costs, harness emerging and transformational technologies, and democratize access to underserved communities. He is a prolific writer and speaker on healthcare industry dynamics and for two decades has served as senior strategist and advisor to CEOs across the health system, payer, biopharmaceutical, ambulatory care, digital health and institutional investment domains, both domestically and globally. Following Optum’s acquisition of The Advisory Board, Mr. Larsen’s role expanded to include helping lead the formation and growth of Optum’s comprehensive health system partnerships, and supporting market strategy development at UnitedHealth Group (EVP, Market Strategy). Mr. Larsen continues his partnership with UnitedHealth Group as President Emeritus, Advisory Board. Mr. Larsen has been active in healthcare innovation as well as advising venture capital firms Thrive Capital and SignalFire. He has served on the board of directors of Somatus, Contessa Health and Mytonomy. In addition to his passion for improving healthcare in the US and abroad, Mr. Larsen is an advocate for the performing arts, serving as Chair of the Board of The Washington National Opera and as trustee of The Washington Ballet. He is a former board member of Post Classical Ensemble and Holt International Children’s Services.
