Marc Tohme advises TowerBrook’s portfolio companies on their operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and works closely with the investment team to identify and evaluate future opportunities.
Most recently, he served as Partner and Head of Corporate Advisory at Global Gate Capital, an investment and advisory firm focused on family offices and entrepreneur led businesses.
He began his investment banking career at Morgan Stanley in London in 2001, advising European clients on M&A and financing transactions, before relocating to Dubai in 2006 to oversee financing activities in the MENA region; he later joined Credit Suisse, where he advised Middle East sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity funds.
From 2013 to 2020, Marc was CEO of a Dubai based merchant bank and served on the boards of ARC (Egypt Refinery Company), Silverstone (Taqa Arabia), Gozour (Dina Farms), ASEC Cement, Raya Holding, and National Printing.
He currently sits on the boards of Société Nationale d’Assurance, Inicio Risk Solutions, Disruptive Novotech, and Middle East Venture Partners, and is a member of the investment committees of Global Gate Capital Private Equity and Amethis MENA Fund 2.
Marc holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Grande École diploma from HEC Paris, is a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors in London, and is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
