Francois Legrain

Francois Legrain has over 30 years of experience at senior level in the European frozen and chilled Food Industry. For TowerBrook, he serves as Chairman of the board of Directors of IDAK, a Swiss based European producer of premium specialty frozen food.

He brings a strong track record in growing and developing internationally food manufacturers in the bakery, pastry, ready-meals and snacks segments and in leading transformations from family owned into PE-backed  businesses.

Francois was Executive Director of More-than-Meals, Luxemburg, a Group comprising Abbelen in Germany and Oscar Mayer in the UK, for which he also served as CEO.

Prior to that, he was a longstanding Director at Delifrance and Member of the Executive Board of Nutrixo, also comprising Grands Moulins de Paris.

He served as Independent Board Member of Biscuit International and of Van Geloven, a TowerBrook portfolio company at the time. Under his tenure at Delifrance, he was also Chairman of the French Frozen Food Federation. He started his career at Price Waterhouse, Dusseldorf, in the audit department.

Francois is a graduate of ESCP Europe and holds a German business degree as Diplom-Kaufmann.
